Note to Team: To schedule jobs so we can complete jobs before schedule and without burning out members of the team.

Job Scheduling

  1. Log into Quickbooks Products and Services.

  2. Select New > Service

  3. Add the Name (i.e. Bi-fold Door) and select the Category.

  4. Add a Description - Installation of solid core bi-fold doors, jams and 2 1/2” casing. Allowance is $100/door. (Priced per Square Foot (SF), Linear Foot (LF) or Unit (EA)).

  5. Add the Price/Rate, [((Material + Labor)1.1) x 1.2]/Units

    1. Material Costs - Add all the materials, the units, the screws, the glue, the shims, etc that meet the description.

    2. Labor Costs - Add up the pick ups, drive time, preparation, installation and clean up and multiply by $35/hour.

    3. Buffer Cost - Add Material + Labor and multiply by 1.10.

    4. Profit Margin - Multiply Buffer Cost by 1.20.

  6. Save and Close

Team Scheduling

  1. Log into Quickbooks Estimate.

  2. Select Create Estimate.

  3. Add the client’s name, address, phone number, and email address and any other additional information available.

  4. Add the Expiration Date (30 days out)

  5. Add items, descriptions and quantities.

  6. Click Review and Send > Send Estimate.
